School may be out for many, but this month nadp learned a great deal from the results of the 2015 Member Survey. The Nadp Membership WorkGroup commissioned the survey because the industry has undergone significant changes since the last study in 2006. The primary objectives of the 2015 Member Survey were to learn about members’ needs in the new business environment and discover how we can improve member services.

As 2016 draws near to an end, I like reflect on the value of NADP for my company and our industry. I am extremely thankful to belong to this powerful and respected organization that represents the entire spectrum of the dental benefits industry. I am also thankful for my fellow members whose work and dedication fuels our success.

NADP attended the National Conference of State Legislatures session on oral health on August 8, 2016.

Over this last decade, NADP has grown from representing 70% of the dental benefits market to more than 90% of total US lives covered by dental benefits.

On March 9 CMS released the final rule “Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; Interoperability and Patient Access for Medicare Advantage Organization and Medicaid Managed Care Plans, State Medicaid Agencies, CHIP Agencies and CHIP Managed Care Entities, Issuers of Qualified Health Plans on the Federally-facilitated Exchanges, and Health Care Providers” (CMS 9115-F).

As Congress takes action to advance legislation responding to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, NADP has partnered with more than 400 organizations, led by Families USA, to advocate for legislation that ensures American families have the ability to seek the care they need to stay healthy.

Every year the NADP Government Relations Workgroup (GRW) compiles a review of relevant state policy activity for the year. The GRW tracks and analyzes legislation and regulations, and advocates on behalf of the industry on key issues. While 2020 has been an unusual year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the GRW continued its regular work while also creating resources related to the pandemic.

The Administration announced, beginning Oct. 5, $20 billion in new Provider Relief Fund payments (PRF) will be made available.
