Due May 15: NADP Enrollment Survey is the cornerstone of all NADP Statistical Reports on the dental benefits industry. This survey is for any company offering standalone dental plans and/or dental benefits embedded within medical plans. Your participation in this research effort makes it possible for NADP to provide reliable and comprehensive data about the dental benefits industry.

Upcoming Surveys

Due June 15: NADP Plan Design Survey collects information about Annual and Lifetime Maximum levels, deductible levels, and information about the percentage of enrollment with products with special features. The survey includes a number of changes from last year, including the removal on questions related to TMJ and those related to Preventive and Diagnostic Only Plans for groups. NADP added new questions related to the coverage of implants and teledentistry supported procedures.

Due June 30: NADP Claims Metrics Surveys are a series of reports that provide benchmarking data and common practices in the dental benefits industry.  The reports focus on the claims processing operations of dental plans and include the following topics:

• Claims processing metrics and performance
• Electronic Claims and volume
• Metrics and processes for the Coordination of Benefits (COB)
• Metrics and processes for the delivery of electronic Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
• Auto-adjudication metrics
• Processes and metrics for Real Time Adjudication (RTA) and Real-Time
• Predeterminations
• Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in claims review and processing

Due July 15: NADP Provider Network Administration Survey covers many of the aspects of managing a provider network and includes questions related to Contract Implementation, Directory Updates, Provider Recruitment, Payment Metrics and Methods and other topics related to Network Administration. This survey is primarily intended for companies that manage their own provider networks; however, there are a few topics and questions appropriate for carriers that only lease provider networks.
